I had to catch a picture of this. Nothing says summer than sitting on the step drinking the first Mr. Misty of the season. Noah really liked it but kept asking if we could warm it up. Apparently he doesn't like drinks that cold!

Catch up!
Its been a couple weeks since I added to my blog, so thought I would spend a little time tonight updating it! It's been a crazy couple of weeks...
Last weekend was filled helping Matt's parents prepare for Justin's graduation reception. We had had a bad wind storm, and the cornstalks from the field to the south of their place had blown all over their yard. The guys spent roughly 8 hours cleaning it up. What a mess!!!
This weekend was busy as well - Justin had his graduation reception on Friday night. His was the only reception that night, so there were a lot of people! The four of us were exhausted when we got home. Saturday we hung out most of the day, and then had some friends over that night for our first summer bon fire! It was a blast. The older kids played really well together, and the babies slept for the most part. We enjoyed some fantastic s'mores! I think we got the other couples hooked to one of my favorites... using a peanut butter cup instead of plain chocolate! Actually, I'm not going to take credit for that creation... that's on Heather! Oh - and we tried those new chocolate/vanilla swirl marshmallows! They're awesome!!! Next time I'm using the strawberry marshmallows with dark chocolate... I can't wait!
Today was Justin's actual commencement ceremony. It was really hot in the gym, but both kids sat and watched really well. I still can't believe Justin has completed high school. He started Kindergarten the same year Matt and I started our senior year! Its amazing how fast time flies... I'm trying hard to convince myself that my kids won't grow up that fast, but Justin's proof that they will!
Anyway, thats a breif summary of the past two weeks. Thought I'd share some new photos of the kids as well.

Wedding Weekend!

What a great weekend! Andrea and Erik's wedding was beautiful. We had so much going on that we forgot to take pictures - I am sick about it! Thankfully Matt's parents were taking pictures throughout the day, so I'll get them posted soon. Andrea was a beautiful bride, and had no nerves what so ever! It's great having Erik as an "official" member of the family. Noah did an amazing job as ring bearer. I was sure he'd see the crowd in church and refuse to walk down the isle, but he and his cousins Orion and Ella made it down the isle and through the wedding without many issues! Unfortunately the activities throughout the day proved to be too much for Noah, and he was too exhausted to make it to the dance. He and Lauren went home with Grandma and Grandpa Hanson. Thanks so much for taking them overnight!
I had a great Mother's Day as well - relaxing, which was nice. I spent most of the day playing with the kids (and taking naps!) Matt made dinner and cleaned the house - doesn't get much better than that!

Whew... I'm exhausted!!!
I hate to end a weekend and feel exhausted, but that's how it goes! The kids and I spent the night at my parents Saturday night as Matt was out at Erik's bachelor party. We grilled, watched a movie, and then hit the hay! Lauren didn't sleep too well... she seems stuffed up. I'm hoping she doesn't come down with anything before Andrea's wedding. Long story short - I think I got about 3 hours of sleep last night. Oh well... at least most nights are better than that! We went to watch a couple innings of Matt's game this afternoon. It was beautiful outside! Noah enjoyed playing with Hudsen.
We are all very excited for the wedding this upcoming weekend, and look forward to seeing many friends and family!!! I hope to post pictures next weekend!
We also hope that Heather has a great trip to Hawaii - we're envious!! What a great place to spend your birthday!!!
